A layered and textile design upper provides a lightweight frame with enough bounce to keep you in the air when you need it most, with a high-density EVA inserts in the rear foot to provide a snug fit, and luxury comfort.
Textile and Mesh Upper
Constructed with textile and mesh upper, the Mizuno Wave Luminous delivers breathable durability. Delivering a smart textile layer, the no-sew upper delivers maximum comfort with reduced risk of irritation and increased stability. AIRmesh offers a high standard of breathability allowing cool air to circulate and remove uncomfortable heat build-up to create a healthy, cool, dry environment. Textile overlays increase durability and protect the feet against lateral drags and grazes. The DynamotionFit bootie construction offers a comfortable, snug fit, and maximum stability as the upper hugs the foot working with it through the gait cycle for fluid transitions and a smooth roll-off from heel to toe. A removable insole provides increased comfort and cushioning with the option to remove for a truly customisable fit.
Wave Midsole
A high-density EVA insert in the rear foot delivers plush in-step cushioning and a premium level of stability. Creating a snug fit the rear of the foot is kept locked in place to reduce in shoe-slippage for a distraction-free match. The high-density EVA further works to attenuate shock impact at the heel when striking down on hard, unforgiving surfaces to spare joints from aches and pains. Working with Mizuno Wave technology the midsole works to absorbs shock impact at foot strike and disperses the energy to deliver a smooth, more cushioned feel with every step.
Dynamotion Groove Outsole
A durable rubber outsole provides superb traction on the court for quick and dynamic movement. Specifically designed dynamotion flex grooves adorn the outsole to improve stability and agility on the court during fast lateral movements and twist and turns.
About Mizuno
Mizuno was founded in 1906 as Mizuno Brothers Ltd by Rihachi Mizuno and his younger brother Rizo, in Osaka. The shop sold western sundries, including baseballs, and then in 1907 began to sell order-made athletic wear. In 1910 the shop moved to Umeda Shinmichi and its name was changed to Mizuno Shop. In 1913 the firm began to manufacture baseballs and gloves. In 1933 Mizuno presented Star Line, the first Japanese made golf clubs. By 1935 its golf club showroom was the world's largest.
In 1941 the company name was changed to Mizuno Co., Ltd, and has remained the same since. The first American factory was established in Los Angeles, under the denomination American Mizuno in 1961.
Today, Mizuno is a global corporation which makes a wide variety of sports equipment and sportswear, for golf, tennis, baseball, volleyball, football, running, rugby, skiing, cycling, judo, table tennis, badminton, boxing and athletics.
